Kids in the Garden

Sharing a PJ Party: Claudia is having a pajama party!

It’s hard to believe that my daughter has turned into an avid gardener, no less a designer…but this is in fact the case! But even more exciting is that her kids love participating, and yes, helping! They are 21 months old and 3 years old.

Recently there has been a massive renovation of their back yard taking place, along with parties where friends come to help out. After removing a wooden deck and breaking up concrete, rainwater from the eaves was channeled into the new raised beds. Lots of soil and mulch was carried about for the new plantings. The kids insisted on being involved. Wheelbarrows and wagons are mighty exciting!

These kids are bound to love the great outdoors in future years after being such active diggers and shovellers. I think it’s just super! Each one has his own shovel and a rake as well as a planter to dig and play in.

Wow! Looks like a lot of work, but you daughter sure has the right kind of help 😉 How cute! I have a very similar photo of my daughter in a bucket at about the same age!

How great to have the children involved in the whole process! I love the photo of your granddaughter in her flannel nightie, working in the garden. A girl after my own heart!

Thanks so much for joining in on my little party!
