Back Home…

I’m home, but a large part of me is still in Haiti.

Over the next few days I’ll attempt to write up some of our activities and experiences on this trip. I’ve already begun listing the cast of characters here: http://haitidreams.wordpress.com/2013/09/07/day-one-unleashing-kids-and-teachers-in-haiti/

For now, here are some of us meeting together on September first at the Mission of Hope in Grand Goave, Haiti.

Tomorrow will be a hiking day, a memorial walk. Still, I hope to have time to write up Day 2 of our trip.

I will be thinking about you tomorrow Marie–enjoy your memorial walk. Please report on it! Looking forward to hearing about day two.

    Dear Marie,

This was so interesting. I forwarded it on to a friend (and Friend) Stan Banker who is very involved in a school in the Dominican Republic which serves Haitian children living in a refugee camp there. He may contact you. He spoke of the need for 4 languages, Creole, French, Spanish (while in DR) and English because so much of the employment is in tourist industry. We saw a presentation on the school at a Benefit Concert in August.
