And then it rained!

Welcome to fall! The rains were harsh last night…and plants are bending waaaaay over.  There are puddles in the grass and in island beds, and the creek is brown and moving swiftly. The rain barrel has sprung a leak. The zebra grass along with other ornamental grasses, the roses, the verbena bonariensis and many perennials are flattened. Here is how some of the plants look this afternoon.
