I played hooky from a meeting this morning, and worked and worked in the vegetable garden The white baptisia and the row of asparagus have been cut back. Much of the eggplant is harvested and all the fingerling potatoes have been dug up and washed off.

On to the lawn mowing for a few hours…and now things look much better. There will be plenty more to do, but they threaten a bit of rain tonight and tomorrow..and later in the week as well.

This week we have two sets of visitors coming, so more time in the garden would be nice. We’ll see if that is possible.

But the big joy is always receiving more photos of the grandchildren and watching them grow. I’ve been reading The Big Disconnect by Catherine Steiner-Adair, and it certainly makes me happy to see these three little ones getting so much time away from the tech world!
