Sweet! Sweet! Sweet!

In May a Mama and baby goat will be arriving at the grandchildren’s home. Things are in preparation mode with fencing being put up and barn work being done. Today the children went to visit some goats to adjust to them a bit. All went well. There will be goat cheese in our future.

This little kid is named Pipsqueek.

We had two baby goats born last week an the ag science department of the school where I was teaching–another due any minute. Love the babies! They are so sweet. I think Ivy loves them too.

I love goats and have always wanted one; like pigs they’re very intelligent. There was large white one at the stable where I took riding lessons. His name was Rufus; Saanen (sp?) maybe? he had upright ears. He used to hang out on the rooves of people’s cars… not everyone appreciated his nimbleness. One day, he was shooed off the roof of a very expensive car, and he fired out a barrage of pellets which rolled harmlessly down the windshield; the owner was not amused but Mum and I laughed into our sleeves. I always think of that when I see a goat!

  3. Lovely photos of your grandchildren! They really are so sweet!
